Fall Season Kick Off

It's that time of year again!
Depending on where you are, you may be seeing leaves falling soon. Vancouver is quirky enough to extend summer into September, which is why we get to start experimenting with Fall's new styles without leaving Summer behind completely. Remember that you can do the same with your summer tops and bottoms - layers go a long way. Thanks to flirty and colourful tights and leggings, your summer and springs skirts can make an appearance into the autumn months. Have a cute summer blouse or tank you don't want to part with? Try a classic white button-up underneath and go nuts with vintage scarves, bracelets or collars for a preppy look that can be classy by day and edgy by night. And don't forget about those cute shoes - play with your suedes and tweeds before the rain comes to visit!

Who Says Comfortable Can't be Classy?

 Sunglasses: Vintage floral print
 Necklace: Stella & Dot
 Blazer: Vintage
 Sandals: Aldo

I don't think I'm alone when I say that mixing and matching can sometimes come off harder than it looks. How do these people girls we all see in the city pull of that kind of je ne sais quoi? They're always chic, and most importantly, they look comfortable. Slouchy tops, genie pants and top knots are just the beginning.
Coco is my little ball of inspiration when it comes to comfortable chic, and her secret is as easy as pie: Have Fun! With the 2011/2012 seasons showing off their ability to mix prints, we can all sleep a little easier knowing we won't end up on the Worst Dressed List if we pick a floral top with striped leggings. So whether you're popping out to the grocery store, to class or to a Mani-Pedi Girls Date like Coco, don't be afraid to add a little fun to your comfy-day outfit.

Nifty Fifty sale

Surprises can always pop up when you're wandering around the city. Always try to take a stroll through the part of a city that has local shops poking out. You'd be surprised at the gems you can find at these places. Some can be pricey, but others can be a steal, like this Nifty for Fifty Sale.
Try to get to these kinds of sales early for a prime selection (and perkier sales people!)
Coco ended up finding herself an entire outfit with colours perfect for spring in the city.

Hello from the WearMongers

Hello!

Welcome to WearMonger! We're so happy you've stopped by. Let us introduce ourselves :)

I am Coco, the "Wear" of the WearMongers. I'm originally from Taiwan, currently living in Vancouver studying visual art and design. As much as I love this city, I wish it saw more sun! I love all things design and fashion. You'll never find me sticking to one label or brand; I love to mix high and low for a fun, eclectic feel. The photos you see on WearMongers are of me, out and about in Vancouver with my dear friend, Natalia.

I'm Natalia, the "Monger" of the WearMongers; Nice to meet you! The write-ups you see on WearMongers are written by me. Coco and I began this blog to express our personal styles and try to find ways to accomodate all of our glamorous ambitions regardless of the shape or size of either our bodies or our wallets. We feel that there is a sea of options out there for everyone - and we'll try to find them for you!

Thanks for stopping by WearMongers, and let us know your thoughts and questions!
